Imee specializes in orthopedic sports-related injuries, women’s health issues, and pelvic pain. When designing her treatment plans, Imee likes to learn as much as possible about her patients, from work habits to stress level to their home layout, so that she can factor each aspect into rehabilitation. Imee ensures that they understand why each aspect of their program is valuable so her patients know they have the power to heal through their own hard work.
I think the ability to integrate the 'whole person' and weave in the patients 'specific goals' is what makes a physical therapist effective. I try to integrate manual techniques, education, and a creative home program to allow my patients to stay injury free and reach their goals.
Imee holds a doctorate in Physical Therapy from Columbia University and joined forces with Steve to practice manual therapy in 2007. She constantly works to further her knowledge with continuing education courses at the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She is the driving force behind Renew’s Women’s Health Program, and has worked to develop special programs for pre-natal and post-partum women.
Imee is an enthusiastic rock climber and an avid cyclist who volunteers as a Training Ride Leader with AIDS Lifecycle. When she’s not enjoying the outdoors or treating patients, she’s experimenting with food science: brewing beer, baking sourdough bread, and trying new recipes for pickles and jams.
